Princess Sarah Rut

Since we're all supposed to act like the princesses we are, I decided to make a doll representing what I would look like if I could walk around physically diplaying the princess I am inside. More simply, what I'd look like if I were a princess, though I know I am cuase i'm a bas Yisroel. Anyway, so this is what i came up with. I hope you like. Have a great day everyone!

When all looks dark and dreary.
Hello to all. I was just going through the pictures that i have save on my memory stick, or USB port, whatever name you want to align with it, and i came across these pictures.
As of now i don't know what drew me to these in the first place, or even why i saved them.
But I'd like to assign some commentary to the pictures you see below:
A. There is a sail boat stuck in the sand. This boat is stuck to the ground and half buried by the sand around it. Even if it tried to leave it could not because there is no tide near it and have of it's base is already engulfed.
Secondly, the ship is not an ordinary one. There is a castle standing erect on it's port.
The symbolism behind these observations are subject to the observer. I"ll leave that job up to you. I hope you enjoyed. I hope you like these pictures . Have a great day and please let me know what you're interpretations of these pictures are and if you see anymore details.

Rosh Chodesh Adar

I would like to formally invite the month of Adar into our lives!
I might need to remind you of the side affects of participating in this month.
A.) Intense joy regardless of personal life situations.
B.) Recognition of the tov HaShem has done and continues to do for us.
C.) Anxiety when making the decision on what you're going to be for purim or do for mishloach manoot.
(D.) A large difference in your bank funds after you by me a 20Th birthday present.)
Non of these are guaranteed, it's up to you to make the difference, nor are any of them recommended except for my birthday present :-) for address info just ask ;-)
I really hope that everyone is as excited as i am. The beginning of Adar means a lot of different things. 1. the start of chagim back from our 'winter vacation.' I don't know about everyone else but winter is a little lonely for me with out the chagim, especially here in chutz la'aretz!
So enjoy!

A new look

I thought that this picture adequately supported SEP's post about each of us having our own view of things. If you analyze the picture to the left you'll notice that there are three or more different perspectives being played upon.

I think it's important to realize that in every situation there are always more then one view point to stand at and perceive a situation. At any time the positive judgment post is the best to acquire, as it helps both us and the victim. Thank you.

In other words, no tuchy ;-)

Did you know that shabbat is approaching? Finally after a long week of studying and working hard on our middout the time had come to start rejoicing and welcoming the shabbat Queen! I'm so thrilled. I was listening to Lev Tahor 4, my favorite shabbat theme cd, on my way to school and as usual i became increasingly excited to perpare for shabbat!
First i'd like to thank the peroducers and singers in that cd becuase it ALWAYS manages to brighten my mood and help me get into the mindset of shabbat after a long weekSecond, i really wanted to share this serine feeling i have with you in an effert to shre it with you. I hoenstly believe that we're very lucky to have the gift of shabbat! It's one day a week where we can readdjust our perspective and focus on the world we live in. A time that h'b gives us to rest from our dayly distractions and realign our behavior to parallel with His will and mitzvout.
This is not a new thing, we all know this information.
However, i'm afraid that we've forgotten, a little, just how speacial shabat is. It's difficult to value anything that we've had since our birth and continue to have til we're 120.
So i just thought i'd remind myself and you how lucky we are to have a day to STOP!

Can you find Vancouver ?

In Relation to what has been written below

Earthquake Warning!

Hello all,

The city i live in now, Vancouver B.C Canada, is on the edge of a fault line. Regardless of the knowledge we have developed the coast line extensively and even situated houses under steep slops, smart eh! Well it's been known for a while that there is continuous tension building up on under us as the Juan De Fuca plate is subducting under the north American plate. These two plates have been stuck for a while and, therefore, cause tension to build until one day.... snap.

For the past few weeks we've been living under an earthquake warning. Beeing that i'm in a geography class in college I've been learning about this for a while. I've seen pictures.

Now when ever one hears of a dissature happening, i assume, they're usually not thinking, "this might happen to me." Being young and 'immortal' i was thinking that as well, even though i live in Vancouver. It occurred to me this morning that i should take this opportunity to really pay extra attention to me actions during the day. Who knows if a mitzvah i do now can save me later, if a when this this goes off? So i'm gonna try to daven a lil' harder and do mitzvout more carefully. I wanted to share this thought with you. Maybe it will help to give you the motivation you need to overcome one mitzva or avodah to HaShem? i hope it will, and i hope it does for me.
Be well!

SHIDDUCHIM!

I want to wish a HEARTY mazal tov to all the girls i know who have gotten engaged in the last 6 months.
More importantly,
i want to give chizuk to those girls my age, only 20(ish,) who are feeling 'left behind'
or pressure to join the crowd of kalla's.
I just thought I'd share some of my techniques to push back the unwanted pressure imagined in my head.
A.) Evaluate my situation and make sure that there is a reason for the things I'm doing. Ei: Why I'm in school = to get a degree to support my husband in kollel for the first few years , b'h. or
B.) Am i really that old? NO for crying out loud I'm spring chicken!
C.) Am i doing my histadlus? have i been in touch with Rebanim who i respect? Have they confirmed that what i'm doing RIGHT now is the best i can do for the situation that i've been put in?
D.) DO i really want the stress of shidduchim RIGHT now on top of my CRAZZY schedual?
E.) IF that does help i call a friend who's NOT engaged and talk to her.
I Hope that this has helped. It's just that i got an email from a friend about this issue and have had to talk to myself about it a few times, B"H i know A LOT of kallas, and thought that maybe there are others out there with similar, imaginary, stress factors on their shoulders!
Have a GREAT shabbat- Tu B'shvat and Shabbat shira!
